About Theo Hirsch

I’ve spent over 20 years expressing my soul and making poetry and rhymes into songs — Awesome, loud, eclectic, and unapologetically rock ’n’ roll. But behind the fire is a softer, spiritual side that makes every song a search for truth and transformation. My performances bring both worlds together — energy and soul, rebellion and purpose.

Who I Am

I’m Theo Hirsch — vocalist, harmonica player, songwriter, guitar player, and creator of ImpRock, my own genre of live improvisational rock.

I don’t fit neatly into traditional boxes. I never have. My work lives in the space between structure and creativity, discipline and risk, control and surrender.

What I Do

I perform full-band rock, improvise entire songs in real time, play acoustic originals, jam with strangers on the street, and reinterpret iconic songs through my own voice and energy.

Most of what you hear here isn’t rehearsed in the traditional sense.
Many performances happen live, with rotating musicians, no script, and no safety net.

Imperfect. Immediate. Fully alive.
That’s the point.

I don’t just sing songs — I step inside them.

What ImpRock Is

ImpRock is improvisational rock: live vocals, harmonica, lyrics, and emotion created on the spot with 2 or more musicians, or a full band.

No pre-written lines.
No backing tracks.
No reset button.

At some point I realized I didn’t need to write a song while a band jammed — I could write, sing, and improvise everything in the moment, live onstage.

That realization became ImpRock.
And ImpRock became everything to this site.

Why I Sing Covers

I sing covers to show range — across genres, eras, and emotional registers — from System of a Down and Led Zeppelin to Guns N’ Roses, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, The Doors, and more.

These aren’t karaoke.
They aren’t mimicry.

They’re my versions — delivered with full-band intensity and lived-in perspective. Especially live, where instinct and experience matter more than polish.

Where I’ve Been

I’ve lived a lot of life.

Raised Mormon.
Lost my way.
Got sober.
Rebuilt myself.
Traveled, healed, performed, and turned experience into fuel.
In rock, attitude and honesty matter more than anything.

Where I’m Going

I’m building this one piece at a time — video by video, song by song, night after night.
